The Schleierfall is a waterfall on the southern roof of the Dachstein massif in Ennstal , Styria . It is located near Rössing in the municipality of Ramsau am Dachstein and is designated as a natural monument .

The Schleierfall is a right side channel of the Silberkarbach (Torbach) at the eastern foot of the Kampspitze . Most of it rises from a spring almost 100 meters above the lintel edge, is 70 m high and falls directly into the Silberkarklamm . Like many karst bodies of water in the Dachstein massif, it only carries water at times.

The Schleierfall was designated as a natural monument in 1968 ( NDM.789 , nature conservation book: St-GB-020 / Ramsau am Dachstein, KG Ramsau and Rössing). The protected area extends in the middle section of the Silberkarklamm - which is also designated as a natural monument, NDM.788 Torbachfall - to about 130 m length and covers an area of 4396 m². It is located in the buffer zone of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Cultural Landscape Hallstatt – Dachstein / Salzkammergut  ( WHS 806 ) and in the landscape protection area Dachstein – Salzkammergut  ( Salzkammergut-Ost , LS 14a ).

A climbing system leads through the Silberkarklamm, for which a fee is paid. Another hiking trail from Ramsau to the Silberkar passes above the waterfall.
