Silesian campaign
The fighting in Silesia in 1807 between the Rhine Confederation Army under Jérôme Bonaparte and the Prussian troops led by Count Friedrich Wilhelm von Götzen as part of the Fourth Coalition War was called the Silesian Campaign . Through skilful warfare and negotiations, Count von Götzen succeeded in splitting up the opposing troops and delaying the surrender of the fortresses Glatz , Silberberg and Cosel until they became obsolete as a result of the Tilsiter peace .
