Coated metal throwing rod

A rod for moving curtains is called a throwing rod . The sling rod is a curtain accessory and is used to open and close or move curtains without touching the delicate fabric of the curtain and possibly dirtying it.

Attachment

The throwing rod can easily be attached to the panel trolley by hooking it into the eyelet with a snap hook . Another possibility of attachment is the attachment of the throwing rod using special rolling rings. Depending on the height of the room, care must be taken when choosing the right length of the throwing rods, they should not be too short.

variants

Throwing rods are available in different materials and lengths. The most common throwing rods are made of plexiglass , stainless steel and aluminum . But wood and steel are also available. The material should be chosen to match the suspension in order to form an optical unit. The colors of the throwing rods are mostly limited to black, white, silver and gold. But transparent throwing rods are also available and very practical because they are very discreet and therefore go perfectly with any window decoration . The handle should also match the overall picture. There are sling rods with elegant handles, without handles or with recessed grips.

A variant are sling cords, in which a piece of decorative cord is used instead of a solid stick, which is also attached with a snap hook. At the lower end, a tassel or a handle made of solid material such as plastic or wood is usually attached.

advantages

On the one hand, sling rods prevent the curtains from being warped by being pushed back and forth or from creating unsightly bulges. On the other hand, they protect the curtains from soiling, as the curtains can no longer be touched with the bare hand thanks to the sling rod, but can simply be moved using the sling rod.
