A manor was built in Dagsnäs at the end of the 15th century. In the 1770s, the main building was built of stone. At that time Dagsnäs belonged to the court manager Per Tham and was an important cultural center in Västergötland . Per Tham had rune stones brought to Dagsnäs and set up. In 1874 Dagsnäs got its present appearance after a renovation according to plans by the architect Helgo Zettervall .
