Castle Goddentow ( Polish Pałac w Godętowie ) is today as Hotel -occupied castle in behind Pomeranian Godętowo, wejherowo county in the district of Neustadt .

history

In the Middle Ages there was a first aristocratic seat at the place, which was owned by Winrich von Kniprode to Hannus von Ditleve in 1361, then owned by the Goddentow. The of Somnitz left early 19th century, the mansion by an east and west wings and a legacy extended. The east wing housed the kitchen, pantries and servants' rooms, while the west wing housed the estate administration.

During the Second World War , the Wehrmacht's air defense was stationed in the manor house. After increasing decline during the time of the People's Republic of Poland , to which the region belonged after 1945, the castle was restored by private hands and is now a hotel.
