The list of architectural monuments in Vastorf lists the architectural monuments of the Lower Saxony municipality of Vastorf and its districts. The status of the list is May 6, 2020.

General

The columns contain the following information:

  • Location: the address of the monument and the geographical coordinates . Map view to set coordinates . In the map view, monuments without coordinates are shown with a red marker and can be set on the map. Architectural monuments without a picture are marked with a blue marker, architectural monuments with a picture with a green marker.
  • Official name: Name of the monument
  • Description: the description of the monument. Under § 3 (2) NDSchG individual monuments and under § 3 (3) NDSchG groups of structures and their components are shown.
  • ID: the number of the monument
  • Image: a picture of the monument

53 ° 11 ′ 54 "N, 10 ° 32 ′ 52" E St. Nicholas Chapel The core of the Protestant chapel dates from the late Middle Ages. After 1895 the chapel was extensively rebuilt. It is a hall building with a recessed, rectangular choir. Inside there is a winged altar with carved figures. These carved figures have been newly painted, they show the coronation of Mary with five apostles and a bishop figure. The carved altar was created by a Lüneburg master around 1430. There is also a wooden figure in the church depicting St. Nicholas. This figure dates from the end of the 15th century. A group of figures of Anna Selbdritt is damaged and dates from the beginning of the 16th century. 28836034 St. Nicholas Chapel

Vastorf station The Lüneburg - Dannenberg railway line (part of the Wittenberge – Buchholz line ) was built in 1874. The station was also built at this time. It is a two-story, five-axis brick building with a flat hipped roof. There is a porch in front of the entrance in the central axis. To the right of the station building is a goods shed. 28836003 BW
