The castle in Gottenau , a district of the municipality of Markt Rettenbach in the Unterallgäu district ( Bavaria ), was probably built in the first half of the 18th century and is a listed building. The building is located in the middle of a medieval castle stable and was formerly owned by the Fuggers . It has two floors, a hipped roof and a curved dwarf house ( Lukarne ) on the east side of the roof . The arched entrance is walled up. There are still remains of architectural painting on the facade.
