Groß-Kotzenau Castle

Groß-Kotzenau Castle ( Polish : Zamek w Chocianowcu ) is a ruinous castle in Chocianowiec (German Groß-Kotzenau ) in the rural community of Chocianów ( Kotzenau ) in the Polkowicki powiat ( Polkwitz district ) in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland.

According to tradition, the place had a small castle in the 12th century and a ducal hunting lodge in 1299 . The building stock of the current ruin probably dates back to the 14th century and was rebuilt in the 16th and 18th centuries and restored in the 19th century. The building has been unused since 1955 and is in ruins.
