Mariana Suman
Mariana Suman (born Filip; born July 29, 1951 in Roman , Neamț district ) is a former Romanian sprinter and middle-distance runner .
She won bronze over 400 m at the European Junior Games in Leipzig in 1968 and was eliminated in the preliminary stages at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1971 .
At the European Championships in Rome in 1974 she won bronze over 800 m and was seventh in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
She won over 800 m at the European Athletics Cup in Nice in 1975 and was eighth at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal .
In 1978 she won bronze over 800 m at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Milan . At the EM in Prague she reached the semi-finals over 800 m and was seventh in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
