The former Haitzing Castle was in the current district of Heitzing in the Andorf municipality in the Schärding district .

The seat of Haitzing was endowed with the right to court marches. Hartwic von Hautzing is mentioned in 1263 as a witness when a property was handed over to the Reichersberg monastery . In 1424, Michel, Bartlme, Hanns and Steffan were named as Pawr zw Haiczing, the sons of Thoman des Pawr. In 1472 the Edelvest des Wallther Pawr (Pauer) zu Haytzing is mentioned. Anna Ruesdorf, née Pauer, sold the property to the Princely Councilor Dr. Aurelius Gulden. From this it came to his daughter Barbara and his husband Stephan von Armannsberg on Wagham. He handed it over to daughter Maria Martha and her husband, Hanns Wolfgang Freiherrn von Ruestorf auf Kleberg in 1639. In 1665 Johann Franz, Freiherr von Ruestorf auf Kleberg, electoral councilor and treasurer, owned the castle. Ferdinand Franz von Ruestorf followed in 1702.

Around 1680, the Meierhof belonging to the castle was sold. The grounds were parceled out and houses built on them. In 1779 there is a mention of Hofmarch and Schloss Haizing. At that time the owners were the imperial councilor Sebastian Tobner and in 1779 the Counts of Franking, who exchanged it in 1827. It is not known exactly when Haitzing Castle no longer existed.

Today only a footbridge over the Pram , called the Castle Bridge, reminds of the castle.
