The Danish Hvedholm Palace (Danish Hvedholm Slot ) is located near the town of Faaborg on the island of Funen . The estate of the same name goes back to a noble residence in the 16th century and was owned by the Brahe and Hardenberg families, among others . Today Hvedholm houses a castle hotel.

The present castle was built after a fire in 1880 for the liege count Bille Brahe Selby as the successor to an older manor house. The three-wing historicist building cites styles from the French Baroque , and the high observation tower offers a view of the Danish South Seas . To the north of the castle, some buildings of the historic farm yard have been preserved, to the south there is an English landscape garden.

The palace complex is connected to the only round church on Fyn by a long avenue . The Horne Kirke once served as the patronage church of the Hvedholm estate.
