Kogl Castle (Ennstal) is located in the municipality of Laussa in the Steyr-Land district in Upper Austria (Koglerstrasse 10).

history

The castle was once a farm that was expanded into a castle by Baron Colonel von Voglsang. Other owners are named: Josef Magerle, Karl Hesse, Karl Fiedler and Josef Altmann. It was bought by Max Strobl von Ravelsberg in 1891. In 1930 it came to Dr. Tomke, who sold it to Mr. Untersinger in 1960. At times the "Schloss Kogl" guesthouse was housed in the renovated castle; today the castle is uninhabited.

architecture

The castle is a two-storey building with two connected building parts. On one side is the mansion wing with two inclined, square towers with a hipped roof at the corners; A two-storey loggia is attached to the mountain . The second part of the house, which approaches the rule, is the service wing, with rooms on the upper floor and stables on the first floor.
