history

The medieval fortress was mentioned in 1342 as the property of the All Saints Church in Prague Castle. The facility was rebuilt under 1453 Václav Vlček. In 1510 the rule of Litschkau fell to the noble family of Popel von Lobkowitz . Under Bohuslav Hrobschitzky von Hrobschitz, it was converted into a palace in the late Renaissance style in 1596 . In the 18th century, there were further changes in the Baroque and Rococo styles . The current appearance of the complex goes back to the time after 1765, when a renovation was carried out by the art-loving Josef Vonibald von Eben.

The castle was bought by the family of the painter Oskar Brázda in 1925 , and it was his residence and place of work. As a result of the restitution law, the castle has been in the family again since 1992.

The castle houses historical interiors with wall paintings and original rococo decorations as well as the Oskar Brázda picture gallery, as well as a chapel of St. Anna from the second half of the 18th century with a baroque interior.
