La Brosse Castle
The La Brosse Castle is located in the town of Farges-Allichamps in the French department of Cher . Built in the 13th century, the original to a burned Seigneurie belonging mainly used for hunting castle in 1862 down to its foundations. The current building was built in neo-Gothic style with medieval facade decorations and was completed in 1866.
Château de la Brosse is surrounded by a vast, from 1862 to 1870 by the famous landscape architect Paul de Lavenne , comte de Choulot landscaped landscaped garden in which, inter alia, to cave and two lakes are, one of them with an island. One of the main concerns in the design was the harmonious connection between the park, palace and farm yard. In 1870 a pump for water supply was installed on the banks of the Cher .
