Rosenegg Castle is located at Friedrich-Gagern-Straße 1 in Ebenthal in Carinthia .

history

Originally it was a “mansion on the Glann” from the 16th century. In 1592, under Johann Franz von Greissenegg , it was expanded into a two-story castle with a mighty hipped roof and remained a fief of Viktring Monastery until 1786 .

Building description

The west side of the castle is adorned with a Renaissance portal with a family coat of arms. Above it is the name 1592 carved in stone and a twin window on the floor. Inside, room and vault shapes as well as a wooden coffered ceiling from the 16th century are among the architectural components.
