Zurzach Castle

The Villa Himmelrych in Bad Zurzach in the canton of Aargau has been known as Zurzach Castle since 1978 . It was built in the 19th century by the manufacturer Jakob Zuberbühler . In 1978 the Villa Himmelrych was renovated by Hugo Ammann and set up as a Deusser Museum with the name Schloss Zurzach .

In Roman times, the Roman military camp at Zurzach was located on the grounds of the castle park on an important Roman road from Vindonissa to Arae Flaviae .
