Castle tower (Auerbach / Vogtl.)
The castle tower , also known as the Red Tower , is an approximately 43 meter high observation tower on the remains of the former keep of Auerbach Castle and a landmark of the town of Auerbach / Vogtl. in the Saxon Vogtland district . After the previously ruinous tower was rebuilt, it has been accessible via a spiral staircase with 179 steps since 1850 .
A miniature model of the tower is in the miniature exhibition area Klein-Vogtland in Adorf / Vogtl.
