Schluchseellauf
The Schluchseelauf is a traditional running competition in Germany in Baden-Württemberg , which takes place in Schluchsee in May each year . The run was launched in 1984.
course
The route leads around the Schluchsee on a circular course of (since 2013) 18.3 km. Start and finish are in Schluchsee at an altitude of 950 m. The lowest point at km 4.4 is the Eisenbreche at an altitude of 920 m, the highest point at km 7.0 is the Kohlhütte at an altitude of 1,000 m. A large part of the run is on natural trails. The number of participants is limited to 4,000 for the main run. The Schluchseelauf started with over 700 runners in 1984 and is now a two-day event with around 5,000 participants.
The relatively best time so far ran for men in 1994 Isa Mohamedi on the 18.0 km course with an average of 3:09 minutes, for women in 1997 Weronika Troxler also on the 18.0 km course Route with an average of 3:43.
