Vestel A.Ş. is a Turkish group specializing in the production of electronic devices. He belongs to the Zorlu Group . Vestel was founded in Manisa in 1975 . Current Vestel brands are, for example, Telefunken , Graetz , Techwood, Finlux, Luxor , Vestfrost and Toshiba (TV Europe), for television sets also Hitachi, JVC and Kendo.
In 1996 Vestel founded VESEG GmbH in Munich together with the German SEG ( Schmid Electronics GmbH ) as a joint European distributor. At the end of 2007 this partnership was separated and since 2008 VESEG has been a 100% subsidiary of the Vestel Group. The company name was changed to Vestel Germany GmbH.
Vestel u. a. by sponsoring the former Turkish football club Manisaspor , which played in the Süper Lig from 2005 to 2008 under the name Vestel Manisaspor . After Vestel's withdrawal as the main sponsor, the association has been called Manisaspor since 2008.
In 2008, the Danish household appliance manufacturer Vestfrost was acquired.
