Zorlu Holding A.Ş. , abbreviated to Zorlu Holding , is the third largest industrial and financial group in Turkey (after Koç Holding and Sabancı Holding ).

In 1953, Hacı Mehmet Zorlu founded the company in the southwest Turkish city of Babadağ near Denizli . The company founder managed the company until 1961 and then handed it over to his two sons Ahmet Nazif and Zeki, who are now the management board of the holding company.

Zorlu Holding controls 50 companies, many of which are national market leaders in their respective fields. The group has 22,000 employees and operates in 110 countries. The business areas include electronics , energy , information technology ( Vestel ), financial services and the textile industry ( Korteks and Linens ).

In 1994 Vestel joined the Zorlu family. It is one of the world's largest television manufacturers . The company's business areas are in electronics, white goods and information technology.

In 1997, Ahmet Nazif acquired Denizbank , one of Turkey's largest banks, which is also represented abroad, in Germany and Austria with Denizbank AG and in Russia with Denizbank Moscow. On May 31, 2006, the fourth largest Belgian banking group Dexia took over 75 percent of the shares in Denizbank from Zorlu Holding for 2,437 million US dollars. This share was increased to 99.79 percent.

The company's headquarters were relocated from Denizli to Istanbul in 1970 and are located in a skyscraper in Avcılar .
