The Schmuckbülbül ( Pycnonotus penicillatus ) is a songbird native to the highlands of Sri Lanka . The bird lives in the jungle and in wooded farmland.
The 20 cm long jewelry bulb has a long tail. The plumage is olive green on top and yellowish on the underside. His head is gray. It has yellow spots on the ear and under the eye, and white in front of the eye and on the throat. Both sexes look alike, the boys are less colorful. The flight is woodpecker-like. It feeds on fruits and insects. The nest is built in a bush, the clutch consists of two eggs.
