history
The company for the production of pignon cutters for the watch industry was founded in 1944 by Karl Schnyder. Two years later it was converted into a stock corporation under the name Schnyder-Liechti AG . In 1976 the company entered the automotive and aircraft industries. In the eighties and nineties the start of the straight knife production , the CNC measuring center for precision monitoring, the micron milling cutter production, the self-construction of CNC-controlled relief grinding machines and the commissioning of the manufacturing information system. In addition, the company was renamed Schnyder SA. In 2014 clock gearing was resumed. The company has developed and manufactured around 40,000 items to date.
