Scholaster

The scholaster is the head of a collegiate school . He belongs to the dignities , i.e. H. the outstanding offices and dignities of a pen . In the ranking he is in third place after the provost and the dean , whom he also represents in the event of a vacancy .

Correspondingly, the cathedral scholaster (also cathedral scholast, cathedral schoolmaster, magister scholarum ) is a dignitary of the cathedral chapter , who is entrusted with the management of the monastery or cathedral school .
