Schomberger is an impact crater in the extreme south of the front of the moon , south of Manzinus crater and southwest of Boguslawsky . The crater rim is moderately eroded, the interior shows concentric structures and a central mountain .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German Jesuit and mathematician Georg Schönberger .
