Gentle coffee

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Various types and preparations of coffee are referred to as gentle coffee, which should be particularly digestible and health-friendly.

Gentle coffee is a collective term for particularly digestible and health- friendly coffee . The term “gentle coffee” is not clearly defined or protected, it can include different types or preparations of coffee that are particularly gentle on the heart and the circulation or on the stomach and intestines .

Types of soft coffee

As a rule, soft coffee is a coffee that contains few acids or other irritants compared to conventional coffee. These types of coffee are usually treated as "mild" or simply referred to as "mild" and are especially gentle on the stomach and intestines by reducing symptoms such as heartburn , gas or general restlessness. For this, the coffee is usually treated with steam (steamed) in order to remove the irritants from the coffee beans. Other treatment methods include removing the coffee wax with solvents , extracting the irritants in liquid carbon dioxide, or mechanically cleaning the coffee beans by brushing them off.

Often the term also names decaffeinated coffee , which is gentle on the heart and circulation due to the lack of caffeine . However, it can also be used for coffee for which naturally mild types of coffee are used that are described as particularly digestible. Since espresso and cappuccino are usually prepared from naturally mild coffees and contain fewer irritants due to the typical quick preparation, they should also be placed in this group.
