The Schott Inlet is a small icy bay on the Black Coast of Palmer Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located on the east bank of the Merz Peninsula . Your entrance is limited to the north by Cabo Eusebione and to the south by Flagon Point .
The first aerial photographs were taken in December 1940 during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). Teams from the US Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) and the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it together in 1947. The latter named the bay after the German oceanographer Gerhard Schott (1866-1961).
