The Schrader Glacier is a small glacier on South Georgia . It flows to the south coast of the island and flows into the head end of Wilson Harbor .
Participants in the Second German Antarctic Expedition (1911–1912) under the direction of the geophysicist Wilhelm Filchner mapped it. Filchner named it after the German astronomer Carl Schrader (1852-1930), head of the South Polar Expedition of the German Polar Commission (1882-1883) during the First International Polar Year for observing the transit of Venus in Royal Bay .
