A scrubber is a piece of work equipment consisting of a wide brush on a long handle . The scrubber is used to clean hard floor coverings, you scrub the floor with it. In contrast to the broom that is used to sweep, the scrubber has hard bristles . It can also be used wet, with water or liquid cleaning agents. Around the brush part and a removable can swab , mop or mop be wound with plaster water soaked for cleaning or wiping dry. In the meantime, however, other cleaning instruments are mostly used.

In northern Germany and in the seaman's language, the scrubber is also called a Leuwagen . In large companies or offices, a cleaning crew is also jokingly referred to as a “Leuwagenballett”.
