Baad school and chaplain house

The Baad school and chaplain house is a listed building in the Austrian Kleinwalsertal .

history

The school and chaplain house was built in 1714. From 1770 lessons were given there by a clergyman. In 1814 a classroom was added to the rear of the building. In 1836 a new classroom was built.

Trivia

The chaplaincy has been vacant since 1879. In 1968 the primary school (a class with 16 students) of the teacher Wilfried Dörler was closed.

In 1830 Jodok Heim died at the age of 79 as a popular pastor in Baad. To date he is the only Walser who has received all seven holy sacraments.
