  • Second-chance education,
  • Special schools,
  • High school and other vocational schools and

The state school authorities inform the respective district administrators, the mayors and the district school authorities in their area of responsibility about important matters, plans and measures in the school system and about special events in the schools in their area. They work together with the school authorities and the school transport authorities. They comment on school development plans as well as on decisions on the establishment, modification and closure of schools.

There is a special regulation for the secondary schools and the special schools for the learner and language impaired and in the area of “emotional and social development”: The education authority is only responsible for the technical supervision.
