architecture
The school on Nordstrasse, built in 1881, was the first Catholic school in Rheydt. The entire complex consists of four parts of the building, the former Rector's House , the adjoining, withdrawn connecting piece (today the Rector's and Teacher's Room ), the class building and a boys 'and girls' toilet that was probably added later. The Rector's House closes the building from the street.
The described building on Nordstrasse 59 is a typical school building for the time it was built . In combination with a conspicuous cluster of public buildings in the immediate vicinity, the school is worthy of protection because of its age.
