Schulieta Schischmanowa

Shulieta Shishmanova ( Bulgarian Жулиета Шишманова , other transcription Shulieta Shishmanova ; born January 5, 1936 in Nessebar , † March 16, 1978 in Gabare ) was a Bulgarian trainer for rhythmic gymnastics .

Life

Schischmanowa studied at the Georgi Dimitrov University of Physical Culture and Sports in Sofia . She then trained the Bulgarian national team in rhythmic gymnastics. The world champion Maria Gigowa as well as Neschka Robewa and Rumjana Stefanowa were among those who trained in the national team . She died on March 16, 1978 in a flight accident involving a Tupolev Tu-134 on Balkan Bulgarian Airlines flight 107 of Balkan Bulgarian Airlines on the way from Sofia to Warsaw near the village of Gabare in the north-western part of Bulgaria.

Schischmanowa was honored as a hero of socialist work and the Dimitrov Prize .
