The swan group is a group of Attic black-figure vase painters with an emergency name . The Schwan Group produced the most important series of miniature vessels in the 6th century BC. Chr. The vessels were intended as temple dedications, grave goods or toys. The group roughly decorated their works with swans and rows of lines. She made almost all common shapes, even rare or bizarre shapes like eggs or bells. Only bowls are underrepresented , apart from Corinthian skyphoi , which are painted with swans hanging upside down. Often red was used as a cover color for details.
