The Black Lake is a natural body of water in the area of the city of Biesenthal in the Brandenburg district of Barnim . It is located about 2750 meters north of the city center on the northern edge of the Spillwiesen between the forest areas of the Unter- and Oberheide.
The Black Lake is located in the Finowtal-Pregnitzfließ nature reserve . It has an area of 0.68 hectares and is surrounded by an extensive silting zone. This is a silting bog with swinging lawn . The cause of the silting up of the lake is the excavation of the trench in 1986 to use the surrounding areas. The lake is supplied with water through ditches from a spring moor in the southwest. The outflow of the lake to the northeast takes place in Finow, 250 meters away .
