The Swedish Lapphund is an FCI- recognized Swedish breed of dog ( FCI Group 5, Section 3, Standard No. 135 ), which is counted as a Lapphund .
Origin and history
The Swedish and Finnish Lapphunds share common ancestors and were bred from dogs once kept by nomadic living rags and seeds in northern Europe. The resilient and persistent dogs are used for hunting and for herding and guarding the reindeer herds, which for centuries formed the livelihood of these peoples.

The breed is still used as a herding dog today. She is now very popular not only in her home country Sweden as a companion dog .
Essence
The actually less aggressive dog tends to be very barking with strangers, which can usually be limited by early socialization.
