Swiss Society for Sociology

The Swiss Society for Sociology (SGS) is a scientific association for the promotion of sociological research and teaching. The association, founded in 1955, is based in Geneva .

The SGS is a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and the European Sociological Association (ESA). The SGS publishes the Swiss Journal for Sociology . The current president (as of 2018) of SGS is Rainer Diaz-Bone .
