The Swiss Association of Paint and Paint Chemists ( SVLFC ) is an interest group of chemists, technicians and laboratory assistants from the paint industry and related branches. It represents 295 members, most of whom are employed in the Swiss coatings industry. The SVLFC sees itself as a forum for Swiss paint technicians and thus distinguishes itself from the Association of the Swiss Paint and Paint Industry (VSLF / USVP), which represents the paint manufacturers themselves.

The name of the association, which is more common in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, is Association Suisse de Chimistes de l'Industrie des Vernis et Peintures (ASCVP) .

organization

Association president in Nicole Frick , the board consists of 12 people. Two working groups are currently organized in the SVLFC: test methods as well as process engineering and environmental protection .

The association is a member of the European umbrella association of paint technicians' associations ( FATIPEC ). In addition, intensive contacts are maintained with other European paint associations, such as the German Association of Engineers in the Paint and Paint Industry (VILF).

The cooperation with the Association of Swiss Lacquer and Paint Manufacturers is set out in the association's objectives.

aims

The goals of the SVLFC are set out in the mission statement.

In general, the interests of the members are to be protected and their activities to be supported for the benefit of the industry. The SVLFC aims to maintain the technical knowledge of the Swiss coatings industry and its related areas at a high level. This is intended to support the welfare of the Swiss paint industry as a whole in a practice-oriented manner.

The association is committed to the exchange of information on current topics in the industry, also in the form of the organization of informative and advanced training events. The membership fee also includes a subscription to the magazines Farbe + Lack, which is also the official publication of the SVLFC.

Ultimately, relationships between the members should be supported in both the professional and social spheres.
