Lars Schwettmann

Lars Schwettmann (* 1973 ) is a German economist .

biography

Schwettmann completed his studies in 2000 with a Master of Science from the University of Birmingham and in 2002 with a diploma in economics from the University of Osnabrück . From 2001 to 2008 he worked there as a research assistant at the chair for microeconomic theory , where he received his doctorate in 2008 . He then worked as a research assistant at the chair for economics, especially microeconomics and finance , at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg until 2016 , where he completed his habilitation in 2015 . Since 2016 he has been Deputy Director of the Institute for Health Economics and Health Care Management (IGM) at the Helmholtz Zentrum München .

Focus

Schwettmann's main research areas include normative health economics, methods for measuring willingness to pay for health improvements , the relationship between behavioral economics and health behavior, and the health effects of life-course-specific events.
