The ScienceBlogs are three popular science blog portals in English, German and Portuguese.

The English language portal existed from 2006 to 2017. It was created by the Seed Media Group to improve public understanding of science. According to its own information, ScienceBlogs.com counted 2.5 million visitors a month in 2010.

There has been a German-language edition since 2008, which currently houses 43 blogs (as of 10/2018). It was first operated by Hubert Burda Media , since mid-2009 by Glam Media , since the beginning of 2011 by National Geographic and since February 2014 by the Konradin media group .

Since 2009 there is also a Brazilian edition in Portuguese.

The authors mainly include scientists from universities and research institutions; including PhD students, post-docs and professors. In the past, some science journalists also kept their own weblogs within the portal. The authors are not subject to editorial control. ScienceBlogs.de won second place at the Best of Blogs Awards (BoBs) in the category "Best Weblog German" in 2008 . In 2012, ScienceBlogs author Florian Freistetter won the German IQ Prize from Mensa in Germany .

The ScienceBlogs.de contains articles on the subjects of natural sciences, medicine, culture, politics, humanities and social sciences, the environment and technology.
