Scientia Pharmaceutica is a scientific journal published by the Austrian Pharmaceutical Society (ÖPhG). It publishes original articles, short messages and also reviews from the fields of pharmacy and related areas as well as from pharmaceutical practice. The articles contain topics from medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry including the synthesis, analysis and modeling of biologically active compounds and drugs, from pharmacognosy and pharmaceutical biology including the isolation, purification, biotechnology and structure elucidation of biogenic natural products, the systematics, microscopy and morphology of Medicinal and medicinal plants, from pharmacology with pharmacological tests of substances on cells and organisms and clinical pharmacy with biochemical mechanisms of drug interactions, as well as from pharmaceutical technology including strategies of drug formulation.
The magazine appears quarterly on March 30th, June 30th, September 30th and December 30th. The articles are freely available in full text from volume 68 of 2000. The magazine calculated an unofficial impact factor of 0.966 for 2014.
