Scoresby is an impact crater on the moon far north on the lunar front . It lies between the Challis craters in the northwest and Meton in the southeast. The crater has a central mountain . The rim of the crater is hardly eroded.

The crater was named by the IAU in 1935 after the British explorer William Scoresby .
