The Scott catalog for stamps issued by Scott Publishing Co, a subsidiary of Amos Press . It is an American stamp catalog and one of the few stamp catalogs that has worldwide coverage. It is updated annually and consists of six volumes (as of 2007). There is also a CD edition. The stamp numbering system for this is the most widely used in the United States .

The first Scott catalog was a 21-page brochure . It was published in 1868 by John Walter Scott , an early stamp dealer in New York, and claimed to list all the stamps in the world, each with a price. This original original catalog was later reprinted.

In addition to the multi-volume catalog with worldwide coverage, there is also a Scott catalog specializing in the USA with the title “United States Stamps Specialized Catalog”; this first appeared in 1922 .
