Scott Gorham (born March 17, 1951 , Glendale , California ) is an American rock guitarist, who is more important through his band work in the British and Irish rock band Thin Lizzy .

He grew up in California and in the 1970s Bob Siebenberg gave him the opportunity to audition for the well-known band Supertramp . From 1974 to 1983 he was a rock guitarist with the legendary hard rock band Thin Lizzy , where he first had to replace Gary Moore and later became one of the main musicians of the band alongside Phil Lynott (bs., Voc.). In 1987 he was a brief member of the band Asia .

In the 1990s, Gorham formed the band 21 Guns with ex-Far Corporation bassist Leif Johansson, with whom he recorded three albums. In 1999 there was a ThinLizzy reunion with John Sykes in addition to guitar on vocals. This got out again in 2009 and was replaced by Ricky Warwick (formerly The Almighty). In 2013 Scott Gorham, Damon Johnson , Marco Mendoza and Ricky Warwick released new tracks under the name Black Star Riders .

Scott Gorham is also a sought-after studio guitarist due to his versatility on the instrument .
