The Screen Islands are a group of islands in the Bay of Flanders on the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . They extend northwest of Aguda Point for a length of 2.5 km before the entrance to Hidden Bay .
It was first mapped during the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) of Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave them a descriptive name in 1958 as it (like a modesty panel English screen ) hide the view of the Hidden Bay.
