The Hidden Bay ( English for hidden bay ) is a bay on the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between Cape Renard and Aguda Point .
It was first mapped during the Belgica expedition (1897–1899) of Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the bay in 1958 after the fact that it cannot be seen from the north through the offshore Screen Islands . In Argentina , the bay is called Bahía Paraná after the Brigantine Paraná of the Argentine Navy.
