Señales del fin del mundo is an Argentine telenovela that was conceived by Carolina Vespa, Ricardo Morteo and Marcos Villalón. The series premiered on December 11, 2013 on the Argentine channel Canal 7 .

The first season of Señales del fin del mundo ran from December 11, 2013 to July 10, 2014 on the Argentine channel Canal 7. On July 7, 2014, a fan show with some actors from the series was recorded and ten days later on Canal 7 broadcast. A second season was ordered in May 2014 and filming for the new season began in July 2014.
On July 19, 2014, actress Micaela Riera presented the series at the Giffoni Film Festival . She also sang some songs from the soundtrack album Señales del fin del mundo . While in Italy, Riera said there will likely be a tour of Italy and Israel with the show's actors.
Casting
The backdoor pilot cast consisted of Florencia Otero, Maxi Ghione, Natalia Cociuffo, Inés Palombo, Juan Areco, Jose Areco, Mariana Prommel, Boris Baks, Camila Salazar, Luisa Kuliok and many other actors. From the pilot episode onwards , the entire crew except for the Areco twins would be replaced.
With the announcement of the second season, the following actors were introduced: Juan Manuel Barrera, Tomás de las Heras, Agustín Suárez, Catalina Campos Leyba, Agustina del Campo, Adriana Salonia, Maxi Ghione, Marcelo Xicarts, Martín Salazar and Ximena Fassi. In June 2014, a casting took place in Milan , where two actors were wanted for the second season.

Catalina Perticelli is moving to a new city with her single father Nicolás. The house in which they now live previously belonged to Catalina's grandfather, who was also called the old fool. Her grandfather experimented in his basement with an unusual ball that Catalina found by chance. Catalina accidentally opens a portal to another dimension with the ball, from which two clones named Adriàn and Leo step out. These clones come from an advanced world but are devoid of human emotions. At first Catalina wants to hide the two clones, but thanks to the support of family and friends, she can hide the true identity of the twins so that they can appear as Catalina's cousins. Catalina's main job is to hide the two clones from a secret agency.
Catalina and the two twins start attending a music school. Catalina meets Damián there, with whom she falls in love, but she first has to pass his jealous friend Eme. Leo falls in love with Sophia, one of Catalina's three best friends. Adriàn has one eye on Eme, and Tamaras' brother Camillo falls in love with Catalina and tries to convince her that Damian is not the right one for her.

Soundtrack
The opening song "Quiero que me tu amor lleve" is sung by the entire main cast. The first album for the series was recorded during the first season and was released on March 16, 2014 in Latin America.

The first episode achieved a brand share of 0.1% in Argentina. The second episode achieved a brand share of 0.4%. On January 29, 2014, the series achieved a brand share of 0.6%.
In Italy, the series was a great success and was one of the most popular programs on the Italian Disney Channel. The episode with the greatest reach was broadcast in June 2014 and seen by around 1.6 million viewers. In the target group between 6 and 12 years old, around 650,000 viewers watched. The series also got off to a good start in Israel.

Señales del fin del mundo has received mostly positive reviews from critics. The Argentine website television.com analyzed the series and wrote: "The series has all the elements a telenovela needs: music, dance and a virgin heroine so as not to frighten mom and dad".
