The Sea Leopard Patch ( English for leopard seal ) is a shoal in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In the center of the natural harbor Visca Anchorage on King George Island , it is at least 18 m below sea level .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations they mapped in 1927 and named it after the leopard seals ( Latin Hydrurga leptonyx ).
