The Sealers Beach ( English for seal catcher beach ) is a beach on the island of Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It is northeast of Doppler Hill and southwest of Scholes Lagoon .
Australian scientists named it after the sealers who had operated in the waters around Heard since the 1850s.
