content

The young aristocrat William Twining goes to the renowned boarding school in Stratfort and aims for a career as a lawyer or politician. But while on vacation, the 17-year-old finds out that his relatives have used up the family's assets and that he, too, is now bankrupt. In the remaining property, William and his loyal butler Kevin search the rooms to find something of value that has not yet been sold. He comes across a locked room and when William opens it, he summons the demon duke Dantalion. He asks him to appoint an interim ruler for Hell, during which Lord Lucifer rests. William is the descendant of Solomon and therefore the chosen one for this task. But the nobleman is a person of science and does not believe in demons. He lets the intruder sit outside the door.

But soon William is drawn into a strange world of demons. More demons vie for his favor so that he chooses them as ruler. And so William has to realize that there is more in the world than in his school books. Dantalion even accompanies him to boarding school in order to convince the young person.
