Sean Moore (politician)

Sean Moore (born May 19, 1913 - October 1, 1986 ) was an Irish politician of the Fianna Fáil .

Moore was elected to the 18th Dáil Éireann for Fianna Fáil in the 1965 election in the Dublin South-East constituency. He also ran in the following four elections in this constituency and was able to defend his mandate every time. During the 21st Dáil Éireann he was Minister of State of the Taoiseach and from December 13, 1973 to June 30, 1981 Minister of State in the Ministry of Defense. In February 1982 Moore lost his seat in the House of Commons when he was defeated in the elections for the 22nd Dáil.

Sean Moore was also a member of the Dublin City Council and held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin from June 24, 1963 to the end of June 1964 .
